The Portal

I hiked around the Mason Neck area of Northern Virginia this morning and stumbled across this unusual piece of driftwood (perhaps the remnants of a tree stump). This was a pain in the butt to access because the tide had come in over the path and had to work my way around through some thick brush. Part of the wood facing me was totally shaded so I used the on board flash to compensate.

For those of you that thought you saw a blip of a frog earlier - you did... I decided to change today's blip at the recommendation of my twin sister.
