Australian raven

The Australian raven is a passerine bird in the crow family and native to much of southern and northeastern Australia.

A Corvid, similar to our magpies, it is much more timid than the typical Aussie magpie.

Measuring 46–53 cm in length, it has all-black plumage, beak and legs with white irises. Have never been able to get one to come very close for taking food from me, but given a lot of time and patience, it may be possible.

Not quite a true MonoMonday entry, but it is mostly black with a bit of white with that iris!
