History in the making!

'Thumper' from the Battle of Britain Memorial flight & 'Vera' the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Lancaster

Beautiful day ....... sunshine & hardly a cloud in the sky!

We decided to take another trip to Kirkby Moor as we enjoyed it so much last week ....... so glad we did!

These are the last two airworthy Lancaster Bombers ........ we watched them fly past in the distance ....... then bank round & fly past above the treetops! What a thrill ...... so pleased to see history in the making.

I just wish it had been a better shot ..... but they flew by with the sun almost behind them ..... so the shot has lost a lot of detail ..... but it was such an experience & a momentous occasion that this just had to be today's blip!!!!
