Evening in Vettica, the Amalfi Coast

The village of Vettica is just a short (but extremely steep) walk from our hotel in Praiano. This evening we decided to eat at the Trattoria San Gennaro for a change.

Just behind the sign you can see part of the church of San Gennaro ( first opened officially in 1589). Below the sign is one of the ubiquitous Vespas so popular here where so many narrow, steep streets are impassable by car.

The view is of course, as always, sublime. Here we are looking out towards Positano. Just a at the end of the bay you can glimpse the island of Capri.

The quality of the image is not all that good, as I was using my bridge camera, but the scene, content and colours, is so typical of this place that I wanted to share it with you!
