Live well, laugh often, love much

This was the life philosophy of R, whose life celebration took place today - always a very positive and dynamic person with never-ending enthusiasm and drive. The church was the most packed we've ever seen it for such an occasion in 24 years! So many friends were made over the years as she moved around the country to be involved in different places of work. Her organisational skills were second to none - and she even saved the life of a friend (who paid tribute to her today) when the friend was stuck in a village at the top of a mountain in India severely ill with cholera. From this country she organised two people to go and rescue her and arranged for her to be cared for and taken to a hotel to stay in a posh suite (that had once been stayed in by Michael Jackson!) until she recovered enough to be brought home. R had contacts in India due to her work with the Body Shop some years ago when she travelled to India quite often on business.

Despite being diagnosed with terminal cancer, she carried on working until about a month before she passed away on 1st September. I don't think any of us will forget R. or will meet anyone quite like her again...
