Simplicity

The first thing that came to mind with the challenge word Simplicity was SIMPLICITY sewing patterns. So I thought I’d document this old relic - my first (and last) sewing machine bought in 1962 - it works just fine. I used to make a lot of the kids clothes with these Simplicity patterns when they were small (they laugh at the photos now! sometimes matching something of mine :-) ) And then we sewed the halloween costume. Sometimes with great imagination. But no longer. It seems all the halloween costumes today are very elaborate and store bought for lots of money. Which brings up the question of which life was simpler?… when we had time to make the clothes, or now when our lives are busier, ordering stuff online that will just arrive at our doorstep. (at a higher cost usually)
