Nine Eleven - A Day to Remember

A skyline with towers of these magnitude will forever be etched on our memories following the attacks thirteen years ago. Cantor Fitzgerald, a money broking company, lost two thirds of its workforce that day. Its affiliate, BGC, are housed on the 64th floor of the huge tower on the right of this picture. On this day, every year, they have a charity day, where they donate 100% of their brokerage commission to a charity set up to assist the families of those that perished. The current employees also give a day's salary. To date they have raised more than $101million for a variety of charities worldwide. Not all that comes out of the financial markets is bad.
