Lake Light

Mr. Togrrrl and I went to look at birds at the lake and I was captivated by the subtle, gray, misty light reflecting off the water. About 50 shots later I joined Mr. Togrrl waiting patiently for me to finish.

Like most birding outings there was a wonderful surprise! This time a Merlin (we think - a small bird of prey) spooked the gulls and hundreds of them took off at once in a panic wheeling and flying around with the small brown hawk diving through them.

About 100 Mallard Ducks eating corn in a big heap
Male Hooded Merganser - just gorgeous
