Ice on the square

This evening after work we wandered down to Härnösand's town square, partly to get an ice-cream, and partly to check out the political parties who each have a little temporary "cabin" (or should that be "shed") on the square during the run-up to the election. They can chat/argue/convert/discuss with the citizenry, and have somewhere to store all their material, and to retreat to in the event of rain. The Green party definitely had the most interesting set up, as photographed by Janet.
The greens had also set up a large block of ice, with an embossed polar bear on it, to melt away representing the melting polar ice cap. When we got there they had just laid it down so it wouldn't melt and fall over in the night, possibly injuring a small passer-by.
I'm afraid the other political parties parties were nowhere near as imaginative, or had gone home earlier and were therefore definitely NOT winning any new voters.
It was a very warm September evening and we met lots of people we knew so we spent a lot of time chatting and only just made it to the ice-cream shop as it was shutting its doors, phew!
