10 Swans Aswimming

This family of swans reared in the part of the canal running through Clydebank Shopping Centre have done phenomenally well. Perhaps this is due to feeding by the public or discarded food from the restaurant that backs on to the canal. They can be seen hanging around there more often than not. The fully grown cygnets are beginning to lose their brownish feathers and white plumage is appearing. They had left the shopping precinct for a swim westwards. I caught them returning to base led by cygnets, with the parents near the rear.
