Roadtrip: Day 1

New Jersey > Pennsylvania > Maryland > West Virginia

Ages ago we decided that we would go on a roadtrip to Nashville. In the last two weeks we finally got round to planning it.

These are my roadtrip companions; Robbie, Jared and Josh.

We left early and headed to Newark to pick up our car. They kindly upgraded us to a mini SUV with all the gadgets. We filled up on snacks for the car and headed off.

For the majority of the drive the scenery was beautiful. I was worried we'd end up on huge interstates but it's been mainly two lane winding roads so far. We pulled over at a scenery overview spot for a break and then later found a lovely spot for some food and gas. A tiny, very American town consisting of two gas stations, a small cafe called Girls R Cookin and a gift shop, which we decided not to explore.

The aim was to get to Charleston, WV, but it got to half 8 and we were still a while away so decided to find a motel and call it a day. The motel was perfect, just like in the films. Spoiler; we survive the night, unlike the movies.
