The First Bite of the Season.

We went over to say "Goodbye" to Meg yesterday, the old girl was getting on and the pain from arthritis and her tumours were becoming difficult to control and, quite frankly, she had had enough. Jnr offered to help Mrs Meg get her into the car but his assistance wasn't necessary so, while they were away at the vet, he went over and dug the grave for her; just occasionally he surprises us, we must have done something right over the last thirty years.

On a happier note, today I bought the first Cox apple of the season today, it was wonderful.
