'Ice Soccer'

A beautiful day today, and very full on.

The Boy Magician had a play date arranged over at his mates Soren & Sasha's house this morning for a couple of hours, then home for a family lunch for Bella's birthday (again). We had a great feast for lunch and was really nice to have my Nana over with us for the afternoon too. Mum's knee is improving daily and she seems to be walking around much more freely now and is able to bend it 95 degrees.

Today was also our local Town Fair down in Diamond Creek, I promised that I'd take the kids down after everyone left today, so just before sunset we left MsMun at home and the three of us headed down. The kids had a couple of shots at the laughing clowns, we all went on a ride together and ate some fairy floss. Dyl's had a crepe for dinner which we went out onto the oval to eat. When we had finished eating we found a block of ice sitting on the oval and decided that it would make a fun game of ice soccer. The kids had way more fun with this huge ice block than they did in any of the fair activities or rides. Just goes to show the sorts of games kids love.

Here is Bella just about to give it a big roll. An ice block this size would probably last about an hour or more of game time I reckon.

Home now to watch Fremantle playing Port Adelaide to see who the Hawks be be playing in next weekend's Preliminary Final.
