Stalker or Sleuth?

Took a MrB eye Blip of Angie & Sultan today from a low hunters hide. As many know, I don't do ladders but I managed to conquer my fears and struggle up the 3 rungs.

She had a good long drive with him, without the dogs at first which was not to Luna's approval. Then drove them out to do the home run together.

Angie than dashed around getting the house fit for her mother's afternoon visit but luckily the weather was good enough to sit outside until about 7:00pm. Angie's Mum and stepfather couldn't make the family party a few weeks ago which was actually also meant to be a party to celebrate Peter's 80th birthday at the end of July.

Son J will be glad to know we managed to get a few of those bottles he sourced for the party emptied. Peter won't touch anything but "Franziskaner Wheat Beer" . Today however he was in a dilemma as Mum announced on arrival that she didn't feel well enough to do the usual evening homeward chaffeur service. J had amongst others, purchased several bottles of Alcohol free Franziskaner. Peter rejected the idea out of hand. When pushed he admitted the one and only time he had tried one was over 20 years ago. He eventually gave way and said he would take a sip .... turned into 3 pints. At one point I saw him inspecting the contents label very closely, trying to find a flaw! Think he was quite surprised.

Filled their car boot with as much excess vegetables as we could find, together with eggs & honey and the odd rose bloom. A pleasant afternoon had by all and on each visit, Mum gets to like the dogs a little bit more but it's surprising she always insists on wearing white trousers. Perhaps Luna will learn not to present her with the dirtiest largest sticks she can find.

Then time for TV as I had heard they was a programme entitled "Battle for England". Was looking forward to seeing if Wales or Northern Ireland were the lucky winners for the "left overs" of the coming weeks vote. However turned out to be the 1969 film, the title being slightly changed in translation. Surprisingly shown quite often here. Left it on as it's rather nice hearing a dubbed Caine and Olivier.
