Low hanging fruit

The apple harvest has started and the lane has been busy with tractors bringing in full crates from the orchards around village. This also means that we get HGVs trying to get down the lanes to the farm to carry away the fruit and that leads to hold-ups. There are passing places along the lanes but they are no use when facing a truck that takes up most of the road.

So if you see English apples in the shops please buy them in preference to those which have travelled from abroad; support British farmers or we'll lose the countryside.
