Sand Sculptures

There used to be a tradition to build Sand Sculptures just outside the Houses of Parliament till the City Council stopped allowing it a few years ago.

Now to everyones surprise they are back and nicest of all… The same City Council was the ordering party!

They assigned three sculptors - one from Russia, one from Ireland and one from Holland - to create three artworks of each 4 meters wide and 3 meters high.

In total they use 115.000 kilograms of special rain and wind proof sand and it has to be finished by Prinsjesdag tomorrow!

I also added yesterdays entry together with this one. Hope you'll visit yesterdays page too.
