Looking up from below

Andalucian courtyards are famous for their displays of potted plants - generally producing masses of flowers. The window boxes round here are pretty too - and today I've been looking more closely at them. This is a modern apartment block with a facade that would otherwise be very severe, but these geraniums (?) soften it beautifully.

Earlier today I tried to photograph the rain - heavy and very wet (both me and the rain) - but gave it up in favour of window boxes during a brief break from the bad weather!
