End of summer

Biked to and from work today so I arrived home early. It was time to cut the wild flower lawn, I tried the strimmer but it was pretty ineffective against the tough stems. I then tried the hand scythe that my better half bought and it was much faster at cutting the lawn, and it has two advantages, the first is that it doesn't produce a lot of fragments and the second is that the plants fall evenly so they are very easy to pick up. I managed to cut two thirds of the lawn before I gave up - my better half did the last third when she arrived.

Today's back blip is one of the last flowers in the garden that hasn't gone to see yet - though it's looking a bit worn.
