Drove ( 2 hours to Calgary ) which is on the edge of the vast Canadian prairie. Stayed at the Westin. Walked along the river and excellent visit to Calgary Tower which had one of the best audiovisual presentations I've come across. Stampede in town at the beginning of July when everything kicks off. If time. Big modern city with a few older building. Met up with Norrie and Fiona Ramsay who live out here and are going to stay permanently.
