A Life of Laughter

Hometown vs Adopted City

I spent the day at the rugby with Mum and Dad watching my hometown (Selkirk) play against my adopted home (Dundee) which was nice. It's the first time I've been to the rugby since getting my bigger zoom last year, so I spent the majority of the match taking photos.

It was a good match, there was a few fights and Selkirk won in the end but the two teams were evenly matched in skill. It was weird hearing so many Border accents in Dundee as I've never really noticed the Dundonian drawl before. A few of the guys I went to school with are Selkirk Rugby Club players and the son in law of my Mum's boss plays for them too, so we stood and talked to Mum's boss for a while after the match.

Dad took us out for dinner after the match which was nice. Vegetarian five bean chilli which was scrummy and Mum's left me home-made Rocky Road so I shall delve into a piece of that as I am doing some uni work later on. Mum and Dad brought up a few more bits and bobs up as I'd had to leave my plants and drawers at home so my room is finally looking complete.

My night is going to be spent trying to find some more articles and books for my dissertation literary review as it's due in the first week in December and I was recommended to read at least 25 books. All I seem to be doing at the moment is reading for uni!
