Joy

How wonderful that the weather on our last day here in Anglesey was the best yet. We woke up to a rich, golden sunshine and a sea that sparkled with a myriad of colours. We went for a walk along the beach and the harbour and took some shots before we decided to go to Benlech Beach. There were a few people ensconced behind their windbreakers, digging holes, making sandcastles and just revelling in the glorious September sunshine. We had indulged in a few treats yesterday, although we endeavoured to walk them off, so we had planned on being good today....but........

....they were selling hot donuts :))

After a couple of hours of sun worshipping we headed to Moelfre and the teashop...well life is too short to worry sometimes. We walked off our afternoon treat and I went to look at the cottage that is for sale...I think I should buy it and move here...then we sat on the old lifeboat slipway in the low sunshine before going round the headland. We have met quite a few people on our travels and had some very interesting meets. I think cameras bring people together as we all love to chat about our passion.

The sun was sinking and I took Chrissie to see Point Lynas Lighthouse. It was the perfect evening to see it, the setting sun was magnificent and we took lots of photos as it melted into the sea. After our disappointment over the fish and chip supper last night we headed home in good time....only to find that they don't even open on a Sunday evening...aaaargh!

We decided to eat in the Harbour Hotel whilst we use their free wifi....and disaster struck!! Chrissie lost all the photos that she has taken today as she tried to load them on to her ipad...I feel her pain :((

Sadly, it is back to reality tomorrow. I hope the sun is shining first thing as I plan to have a quick dip in the sea at sunrise. Maybe I should do a Reggie Perrin....................
