The Sun Goes Down...
...on a day of tears and laughter.
Alexander spent the day with me but I had lots of errands to run. As a reward for being a very good boy, we went to the park. We hadn't been there long when he smashed his cheek and forehead on a metal bar on the slide. I managed to pacify him but was afraid that he would fall asleep in the car, so to keep him awake, I called at the builders merchants to get some wood.
I carefully leant the wood against the side of the car and opened the rear door to put Alexander back in his car seat. I was horrified to see that someone had stolen the car seat in our absence! On closer inspection I saw that the thief had carefully laid a coat on the back seat in it's place. It was only then that I spotted a lady in the front passenger seat looking over her shoulder at me and realised that I had got the wrong car!! It was silver and a similar shape to mine. I really shouldn't be allowed out.
Still, both Alexander and I found it very amusing. Not so sure that the woman did.
