Gonks on the Gondala

We have to leave Queenstown today to travel to Te Anau for our Doubtful Sound trip although we'll be coming back through on our way back ... what a fun filled (and very expensive) place.

Before leaving we travelled up on the gondola with the gonks as you can see here ... we'd been having far too much fun without them. At the top of the gondola is a luge - not on ice but on concrete - kind of like go-karting bumper cars ... fun!

We then travelled to Te Anau and came across the perfect woman competition at a local pub. This involved local Southern NZ girls competing in things like fish gutting, changing a tyre and banging nails into wood at the local pub whilst getting pissed ... wicked! Didn't dare take a pic of them though. After a few drinks we headed back to the van for dinner then thought we'd go back to the pub as there was a band on. All the local girls were still going strong and bopping away to country style cover hits! A few drinks then bed for us.
