The Nevis Swing

So what to do ... more adrenaline fuelled fun? This pic is of the Nevis Swing which we did as a tandem. We have a video of this which we'll upload to FB and, once we've figured out how to take a still from a vid, we'll update an actual picture of us on the swing to replace this rather boring one.

So, how it works ... walk across a 70m bridge to the the platform you can see in the pic, get harnessed in, dangle over the rocky canyon and then you are released ... 70m free fall then 300m swing over the canyon! Fred was terrified as you will see when we upload the vid although the winching back up to the platform was the most scary bit for her as the ground got further away ... scarier than the skydive funnily enough ... bungy jump next? Not for Freddie!

The swing is called the Nevis swing and is the biggest swing in the world apparently. At the same venue is a Nevis Bungy which is longest bungy in the world at 134m. We watched two Australian boys do this ... free falling for about 10 secs before the bungee kicks in ... scary stuff!
