Another Day

Port Gaverne

The moderate to strenuous walk planned for today turned out to be disappointingly easy and shorter than we would have liked. There was one steep valley we had to descend into, where the path was loose slate, so extra care was needed, and it was quite horrifying looking across and seeing exactly the same terrain going up the other side. The walk only took us two hours, which was a shame, because we haven't completed as much of the coast as planned.

On the up side we have had tremendous accommodation and the weather has been amazing. Our walking friends are heading home tonight because they have L's dad's funeral to finalise for next week. It's been a good break for him.

Our other friends have had a good week apart from the day we dragged them around one of the harder walks, but have done other exciting things and are heading home tomorrow morning.

We are off to visit friends in Portscatho for two nights before heading home, when I should be able to get back to normal blip service.

I thought this was rather attractive on the hotel wall at Port Gaverne. I hope you like it.

Thank you very much for your lovely comments yesterday.
