Preston Hall...

...the back gate thereof, apparently. I wouldn't mind a front gate like this.

Mr Flum kindly agreed to indulge in purple-finger-making foraging again, this time for the main ingredient for elderberry rob (which I learned from the irrepressible Dotty's journal as being a treatment for winter coughs).

We passed this lone gateway on our quest for berries, and had to check the map to confirm our location, (which, by the time we had driven round several lanes was by no means obvious). Just to be nosey Out of interest we drove round to see the front entrance, which is, of course, much more grand - too grand, in fact, as one side was in shade and the other in bright sunlight.

Now we have a large quantity of elderberries to process (plus a couple of pounds of blackberries which were growing close to them, for crumbles and such) so excuse my lack of comments I'm a bit tied up.

And purple.
