Sgwarnog: In the Field

Curled

A change from the hairy caterpillars that have been roaming the moor in recent weeks, this delicately coloured creature curled up in the grass when I showed an interest. I'm not sure what it is yet (possibly Bright-line Brown-eye?), but I've put a query on the Yorkshire Moths forum so hopefully an expert will help with the id.

Elsewhere around the village there were Red Admiral, Speckled Wood and Comma on the wing, and Wednesday's Painted Lady was still adorning the community garden.
