Rievaulx Abbey

We left Danby with bright blue sky overhead, encountered light mist on the top of the North York Moors and then grey cloud and fairly dead light at Rievaulx Abbey, so I've gone for the antique look in this images - a little bit of slider tweaking in Lightroom and then a touch of Nik Silver Efex pro. I tried a few shots that included people walking through the abbey but they didn't work out. The light was really difficult and in the end I had to go for shots where there was no sky showing - otherwise all I got was a blown out look. Home around three this afternoon and my first job was giving all the plants in pots a well deserved drink - I think they're all reviving now. I didn't expect it to be so rain free this week!
