Bridges and Boats

A gorgeous sunny day for a boat trip around Manhattan.

For a pre-cruise lunch we discovered Gotham West Food Market in Hell's Kitchen; very cool, super clean and shiny, and mercifully not full of tourists (yeah I know we're tourists here, but sometimes we like to get off the beaten track).

The boat sailed under all 17 (I think it was 17!) bridges that connect Manhattan to the other Boroughs. Every last one is a feat of engineering, and it was hard to choose today's entry. Manhattan Bridge was one of my favourite designs so here it is.

Sitting down for the afternoon was most welcome too!
