HIT ME . . . HIT ME . . . HIT ME . . .

Old technology . . . hit it with a hammer !
New technology . . . one photographer unveiled his flying drone to capture steam locomotives from the air as they passed Darnholm today.

I was fortunate to get several grand images again on the North York Moors Railway . . . so I feel a new Blipfolio coming on later in the week. However I could not resist this shot of a NYMR engineer.

This is steam locomotive 75029 - The Green Knight. Built around 1952, she is calling in for water and coal and a quick overhaul during the day. One of six preserved Class 4 British Railways locomotives, it still needs a good old-fashioned hit with a hammer to check wheels and metal parts for safety.
Some things will never change !

Hope you all have a grand week ahead.
