Telephone boxes....

One of the things about the refurbishment of St. Peter's Square that surprised me was the return of the two red phone boxes that have stood between the Town Hall and the library for years. Not that I don't like these iconic symbols of our country. I just wondered who was going to use them? Everyone over 10 seems to have their own, all singing, all dancing mobile phone so who would need to use these?

I'm trying hard to think of another place where they still exist. They seem to be restricted to the prettier bits of tourist towns and cities. You see foreign tourists posing by them to prove to friends back home that they were actually in England having an authentic English experience.
