Town awakening at dawn

It is 7 am. The Church Bells underline the breaking of dawn. There is light enough to write here at the balcony table. You can see the warm orange night lights. And over the sleepy town The Diemel Dragon drifts to the West and dissolves in the grey clouds. Around the house a small bat is turning its circles. Down at the station a Diesel train departs towards Eastern Westphalia. A new working day has started. I want to be part of it in a spiritual way. I am curious to see what it will bring. Shaping the preparation exercise by making a fresh walk. First thing to do.

Really, my new walking rounds with neighbourfriend Dee is a surprise gift. It is bringing or generating a rebirthing energy and, as we might expect, a slight smile in the spiritual heart. Yesterday evening I felt too tired for such a smile after a long Skype-conversation with W’s sister, who we had not seen for a long time already. We and she had a lot to tell. I feel fresh again now, as the light is coming up and the noises of the day are increasing. You can feel the chilly freshness of this misty new morning. Birds start twittering. The nightlights are switched off. A lorry rushes rattling uphill to pick up a new load from the stone quarry.

Meanwhile, deeply breathing, I have a very good feeling about that change of decor which is coming nearer. Soon we will have moved from this broad balcony with its wide vistas towards that other, small and humble balcony in between the flathouses. From the Rivervalley view to the Northsea Beach. Without my friend Dee then but, maybe with Mischa and Willemien. Dawn at sea. And a far away church bell ringing. Gulls shrieking, Terns Singing their Cheerios.
