Fire Hearth

We went to Buildbase after lunch to buy some slabs we could use as a path up the garden. Due to the weight, and the fact they wouldn’t deliver them, we took half home, to collect the second half tomorrow. Ann and Tom brought them round the back of the house from the car and we laid half the path. It’s very artistic and planned with architectural precision and will help prevent grass being tramped into the house.

After we went to B&Q to talk kitchens; unfortunately the one colour we wanted has been discontinued, but we’ve still booked the designer to come and have a look. The kitchen needs replacing being very dated and very dark and also the fact that we want to move the whole thing to the other end of the room.

I was short of blip fodder and took a picture of this pink display Ann had set out on the hearth. The Japanese influenced painting of the poppies was done by Emma when she was about ten years old.
