Derelict Thursday, Student Flat

Today we spent half a day in the class room learning about the Quick Lock system. This is a system for repairing Municiple water mains sewer and stormwater. The course is being delivered by an Aussie company M Tucker and Sons. A simple system using trenchless technology that has so much potential. This afternoon we did some repairs on the simulater and what a great simple system this is. Before dinner which was delicious once orders were sorted out this was quite a muck up. I had a wander down the street and shot some images of a typical Otago University Student Flat however this one is very clean and tidy and has it's own beer garden with the special stubby plants sprawling onto the fence. The old stereo typical Otago University Student Flat would normaly be classed as a dump and these well educated or on their way to be well educated students tend to study Fluid Mechanics by studying the buble motion of beer in a glass bottle and like to rub considerable amounts of alcohol into their forehead. The accomodation we are staying in does a little bit of the tourism promotion by high lighting Dunedin's Scottish heritage by having a haggis blessing complete with a wee dram. There was a Piper and a full compliment of peopel in some sort of Scottish atier . We were privilege to some left over Haggis and it was very nice
