The last day of summer?

They keep saying that it is the last day of summer, and then we get another one! Today it was 20 degrees at 4 pm. It was a beautiful afternoon and I should have been out in the garden but a combination of too many indoor jobs and aches and pains kept me indoors.
It was a misty morning, but six miles away on Normous' golf course it was thick enough for them to close the course. He came home very cross, saying it was "health and safety" gone mad, and previously they would have just shouted to the people in front and driven when they got the all clear. Within half an hour the mist had cleared but by then the course was full with people who had booked a later time. Poor Normous.
