No 169: Hen Harrier

Wow! What a brilliant day at RSPB Havergate Island! A superb place to watch birds and see brown hares. We were lucky with the weather too, as the heavy rain forecast didn't really get started till after we had finished out trip.
I'm on a roll with my bird blips - I think we might also have seen Whimbrel and Spotted Redshank - 2 more birds on my To Blip list, but I was so pleased to get this Hen Harrier - in flight too. I once had one pointed out to me on Derwent Edge, but it was just a speck, so this is also a Lifer.
Home via Pinney's fish shop in Orford. Dover Sole for tea, and smoked sardines and smoked duck in the fridge for future delight.
