Lovely day! Steady start, a bit of TV for Katie and a bit of sewing for me. We headed to ballet, where she's started work on her Christmas exams as well as her November exams. We stopped off to get some wrapping paper before coming home for a play. We made a quick library stop on the way to heading to her friend rosalie's 6th birthday. They had a great time. They did colouring sheets and using a special app watched them animate and come "to life". Then Sam's Safari brought giant stick insects, a bearded dragon, a snake, a gecko, an albino hedgehog (Katie was the only one who knew about albinos, because of Ernie rabbit) and a tortoise. Katie liked the hedgehog. She was unsure about the gecko as it jumped a lot. They made a tortoise craft. Then all had party picnic together. She had a great time.

Photography-geek heaven, this shot. Taken on a vintage Hasselblad medium format camera. Recorded direct to an iPhone 5s and airdropped to my 5c. Oh boy did I love the camera. The feel, the noises, the quality. It made me very geekily happy. The camera play came while we were at her friend's. Her dad is a vintage camera geek and had bought the attachment for the Hasselblad. He handed it to me almost immediately I walked in. Just the feel of the shutter and the focussing, oh it was wonderful!
