Sunshine and showers

After a morning spent backing up my photos and reports onto a new external hard-drive, I went for a we expedition to the top of the walk... coffee and sausages purchased, I thought I would walk home via the Water.
The leaves are starting to turn, but the weather was a bit more like April than October.
I was delighted to see a kingfisher zooming downriver at the Commercial St Bridge. It had looked like the territory on the lower mile of the river had been abandoned, but maybe this was a member of this year's fledglings looking to take it over. I hope he stays around.
