The satisfaction of winning....

The weather turned just at the time I was due to go and watch my first referee of the season this afternoon. We walked into town for a few things this morning, mainly for Christmas Cake ingeredients, a haircut but also for a coffee at Pop's. When we set out it was a beautiful sunny morning, warm and calm.

By the time we'd done the shopping and were on our way home clouds had rolled in, the wind had become gusty and the temperature dropped some 7 or 8C as the much hearalded cold front passed through, then it started to rain. we managed to get home without getting too wet, huddled beneath flimsy unbrellas.

Fortunately the rugby club had a covered area underneath a balcony where spectators and me could shelter from the elements and a good job too. The irony of it all was that as I was leaving the tail end of the front could be seen in the western skies and I hadn't travelled more than 5 miles before we were in brilliant sunshine!.
