Autumn lotus

This is the last of our lotus flowers and, as autumn sets in, what better way to celebrate it than with this ancient
Chinese haiku:

“On loving lotus”
Lotus on four sides and willows on three,
Half a pool of autumn water reflects a hill.
Distant fragrance is all the more delicate and fresh.
