Weymouth esplanade (sea front) and beach

Weymouth, seen from the north. The esplanade was built between between 1770 and 1855.

The JCBs seen at bottom left are working to strengthen the sea defences of the coastline suffering significant landslip.

My April blip provides a brief outline of the town's history.

The location map indicates the photographer's viewpoint.
