Lunchtime Music

At All Saints Church in High Wycombe this lunchtime, for a concert as part of the Wooburn Festival. It was a programme of music for violin and piano, including works by Schubert, Sibelius and Ravel. Sublime music in a great setting.

But the highlight for me was a piece written by the violinist herself, Jane Chee Yean Ng, who is Malaysian-born. It was called The Pagoda Of Dreams, a fusion of Chinese folk music and Western classical influences, and hauntingly beautiful.
