The Hummingbird In My World

I love this photo of Zippy, the Costa's hummingbird that will stay with me through the winter. (I have often referred to his species, but not sure if I ever have given a link to read more about it.)

If I could have caught anything better, it would have been the purple on his gorget and flared tips. The light has to be perfect. (See the photos of other Costa's on the Wiki page.) He's my baby and there will be many more shots of him to come from now until "the others" return in the Spring.

Zippy is King of the Yard once again.
