Potion Making

What a busy day!!
Miss L has not one but two parties this weekend. Honestly, kids today - it's non-stop partying!!
Today's was at 11am in Milton Keynes so there was just time this morning to frantically search the house for the box of presents, wrap a couple of them, get Miss L to write a card, put together a box of party food for her, pack an overnight bag for our stay at Mrs Z and Mr K's new house, give Mr K some instructions about things to do before meeting us later and then head off.
Via Tescos to get Miss L a cake to go in her party bag.
I've known about this party for weeks. Why am I going to Tescos on the way to buy things I need?!!
The party was loud! Like being in a nightclub full of four and five year olds!!
But it was nice to sit and shout at chat with my friends!
From there I went to a different Tescos (because I don't think you can get enough of Tescos on a Saturday!!) to buy Mrs Z and Mr K some house warming flowers and wine and a present for tomorrow's birthday boy.
Then it was to the new pad.
And what a gorgeous, envy inducing new pad it is. Just wonderful!
The children did their best to mess it up a bit by getting all the ash out of the chiminea in the garden, mixing it up with water in buckets, getting it all over their hands and feet (and faces, clothes and hair......) and then walking it into the house and wiping it all over walls and door frames. Eek!
Miss L and Mr H were the worst culprits and ended up being dunked in the bath to try and clean their filthy Hobbit feet!
There was a bit of sleepover chaos and musical beds but eventually all the little people were asleep and the grown ups could drink wine and beer, eat Mikados and watch excessive amounts of singing and dancing!!
A lovely day with our lovely friends.
