Golden Chrysanthemum

The very picture of autumn, these really big mums with their orangy-yellow petals with reddish inside colour. And the ones with this colour are probably the ones that were named chrysanthemums first, Wikipedia says that the name "chrysanthemum" is derived from the Greek words chrysos (gold) and anthemon (flower). They're highly revered in China and Japan, a sign of autumn and of nobility. Chrysanthemum tea is thought to be life-sustaining and good for health because of its association with the sun (because of its colour) and because it was also seen as the flower of immortality.

Thanks very much for your comments on yesterday's utility street art :-)
