R.T.F.M!

We tried to go and see "High Head Sculpture Valley".
No luck.
Review? Might read as follows:-
When/if we ever find the place I'll be delighted to write a review.
1. We saw a sign @ Hutton in the Forest and turned right, also because "She" knew THAT much.
2. We arrived @ Durdar, on the outskirts of Carlisle with nary a sign between.
3. 3-point turn @ Dalston Cross-roads where we saw a sign pointing us BACK the way we had come.
4. At 30 m.p.h. we returned to H in the Forest, checking EVERY field gate & road junction - NOT a single sign.
5. Arrived back @ Hutton in F where we saw a sign, visible had we been travelling TO Penrith rather than from, informing us it was
6 mls down the road. Had I seen THAT I'd have checked the Odometer.
I saw ONE review stating that it was "where sculptures went to die" Amend that
It's where the road signs go to hide.

Ah WELL, better luck next time.
MORAL - "R.T.F.Manual'' If we HAD we'd have found it, by reading that we should "Turn right at Black Lion Pub. Approx 4 mls, turn right at Brown Sign. Approx 4 mls look out for our sign."
As it is "Writ Large" on the leaflet it says
"FOLLOW THE BROWN SIGNS"
WRONG
"Read The F Manual"
So - In total we saw 3 brown signs. Read of another, but there was not one at the vital "Turn here" point.

IF anybody fancies a visit CHECK. Just read some reviews 1 says they visited before it closed (2013) Another said Cafe was closed (Oct 2014)
We'll have to check before the next attempt.
