Crunch Time

I popped up the camera half way through her dining experience so have no idea what is on the menu but it was sure going down a treat. Hidden in the ivy on the pergola she had a great place for a web with all the flies around. I wonder if she's like me and leaves that final mouthful, the best bit, till last or whether that is the least digestible or desirable and therefore discarded.

Not a huge spider by any means but seeing all those eyes bearing down on you, as you wriggle to escape her clutches on the web must be frightening. Just check out those mandibles and fangs - fascinating stuff! My irrational fear/phobia is the legs and the speed they run - just did a quick shiver here!
