All good things

With the summer becoming autumn the weather around Lake Como is becoming more varied, as was shown yesterday. Today is warm and sunny again, though the evenings are cool now. We have expected this and had decided to move to an area where we think we can squeeze out a few more days of summer before returning to Aberdeen.

This morning we packed the car, transferred some personal items down to the cellar in case of rentals prior to our next visit, had a final lunch at the apartment and then hit the road.

From Lake Como to Lake Garda is a drive of about two and a half hours, apart from the stretch down the side of Lake Como it is all autostrada. It is a busy autostrada being the main east west route between Venice and Milan, crossing in much of the industrial heartland of the North of Italy.

We arrived at our destination late afternoon to find we have left the sunshine to arrive under cloud and rain. The temperature is a little warmer however. After checking in at our hotel we adjourn to a nearby bar and then dinner.
