No Ice Today

We returned our rental car this morning and spent the day visiting various museums and galleries within walking distance before boarding the Indian Pacific train home. This train travels twice a week across Australia between Sydney and Perth. It takes about three days for the entire journey. Our segment is just overnight. Being a tourist train it is pretty expensive so we don't have sleepers, just sitting up all night in Red Class. I assume that is short for red-eye. However compared to a plane it is fairly comfortable with loads of leg room and reclining seats so shouldn't be too bad.

My blip of the now defunct ice-factory isn't meant to be a repeat of the derelict theme of yesterday, but I quite liked the image. In a town where summer temperatures exceed 50C you wouldn't think ice would go out of business.
