Frank and Tiny

The official opening of the Rhododendron Festival - at the pub (where else?).
The Festival Princess was crowned and gave a nice little speech.
The boys sang an item from the Rhodo Revue, which opens in three weeks.
We all had champagne, an assortment of quite nice canapes and some Princess Cake (a rather impressive rich fruit cake with marzipan icing - my favourite, please note...).
On the way out later, I spied the Princess at the bar with her 'handmaidens' (but not wearing her crown).
It's all go now until the end of November - the Iris Show this weekend, then the Art Show, then the Revue, then the Ball (complete with debutantes)...
I'm tired already.
